ALM102
Decisions about what kind of content/messages/meanings you wanted to convey
about yourself in your video.
We are told to do a self introduction video for this ALM102 class. In the first bit of my video, I have used a 10 second B-roll shot as my opening, the purpose is to let this video to be more interactive with my audiences and to give an idea to them that they are watching my video. The content of this video is pretty straight forward and it is for me to address my audience about myself.
Strategies relating to planning, framing and positioning, shot composition,
engagement with audience, and recording audio that you employed in your video
The planning layout for my video was divided into four parts as B,A,A,B. The first B-roll shot was me walking towards the camera as long and wide shot and background music are used. Moving on to the second part of my video, the vlog beings. I have placed my camera to an eye level and this interaction could let them feel I am actually talking to them and there’s something I would like to address. For the third and fourth part, I have moved my camera to a lower angle as my outro for my video. Various shots are used in my video, and in order to have more engagement with the audience, some hand gestures are applied as well. Audio was not a thing for me to worry since that I was in an indoor area but vloggers must also pay attention on their audio if they are in an outdoor condition.
Lessons you learned, challenges you encountered, and how you resolved any
problems you faced
From making this video, the challenges that i had was minor but the major challenge for me was looking directly and talk, i actually found it awkward and it was a bit embarrassing to be honest. But the fun bit for me was editing the video.
